Akamai Inventory Resources LLC was founded by Heidi Elliot Coleman in 2007. Her business is based on the principle of Service with Aloha. Heidi has substantial experience in customer service including 20 years in business administration and seven years in real-estate. Her husband Scott Coleman owns and operates UnderWay LLC, a shop that is exclusively sailboats and sailing accessories.

Akamai is a Hawaiian word that means "smart, clever, expert; smartness, skill." It is also an acronym for Acquiring Knowledge, Awareness, Motivation and Inspiration.
